[Name]
Ophelia Night
[Mortal Age]
17
[Actual Age]
450
[Sire]
Martin Luther - Former Catholic priest, start of the Lutheran Church
[Bloodline]
Malkavian/Toreador
[Family]
Mortal: Part of a wealthy family of aristocrats in England, rumored to have even been related (by descent, of course) to Queen Elizabeth I.
Immortal: House of Night, House of Pascal, House of Bluemoon, Virtutum covenant.
[Abilities]
Game Age: 1200+ Days
Stats: 5,000+
Rank: 75
Empathy: The ability to sense and influence the emotions of humans. 10/MAX
Telepathy: The ability to read ones thoughts and communicate with them mentally. 10/MAX
Telekenisis: The ability to move things with your mind. 10/MAX
Premonition: The ability to see visions of the future or past via meditation. Clarity and accuracy increase with strength. 10/MAX
Suggestion: The ability to place slight mental `pushes` into the minds of others. A vampire with the ability of suggestion cannot control, or communicate through the mind- merely place `ideas` in another beings mind which they may choose or choose not to obey. Suggestion is difficult for victims to detect, since `pushes` manifest mainly as their own thoughts. Eye contact must be made, but not necessarily maintained once the `push` is given. 10/MAX
Power of the Dogg: The ability to kick epic ass in rap battles and make fellow gangstas cry out for their mamas. MAX/MAX
[Haven]
Ophelia usually finds herself at The Dark Tower, where many of the City's psychics reside. She usually tends to those within the dungeon, volunteering to bring them blood and comfort, despite many of them being rif-raff in public eye.
[Feeding Habits]
Ophelia feeds once a day, either on a willing donor (usually helpers within The Dark Tower, human servants of the vampires), or on a blessed animal. She does not take unwilling blood, lest she lose her innocence.
[Appearance]
Ophelia has always been characterized by her "porcelain doll" appearance. She wears her hair in dark, shining curls upon bare, pale shoulders, always dressing in white (usually a dress or tank top and skirt). She is a burning symbol of purity, her lips full and red, eyes a deep, rich sapphire, blue and a soft, mature figure. She carries with her always her precious violin, black with purple designs upon it and a purple music note on the back. Her only weapon of choice is a sleek silver bow etched in black knot work, the tips of her arrows carved with obsidian glass.
[Nature]
Ophelia`s nature is a quiet one, though she is kind at heart. Despite a sadness that seems full and hanging upon her person like a darkening veil, Ophelia tends to place a smile upon her face, especially in the presence of beautiful music.
[Demeanor]
Ophelia is quiet and observant, usually choosing to stand in the back of the crowd and wait patiently as opposed to jumping in the midst of a crowd. She rarely speaks, but when she does, what she has to say is usually wise and important (unless she is caught in a fit of passion). She is loyal and trustworthy, sometimes to the point of being self-destructive.
[Flaws/Weaknesses]
Ophelia is physically weak due to the energy required to keep up her mental prowess. She does not believe in fighting, and thus can be defeated easily in physical combat. Her main emotional and mental weakness is her mother: get to her mother, and getting to Ophelia is as easy as counting.
[History]
Born in England during the Baroque period of music (a very important era in musical history), Ophelia was once the daughter of wealthy aristocrats. However, her life came tumbling around her when she began having visions. Most of these visions were terrible, terrible glimpses of the future. In her mind`s eye Ophelia saw the Glorious Revolution, the problems stirring within the Roman Catholic Church. Due to these visions and her pleas for help and salvation, the Catholic Church deemed her possessed by demons and sentenced her to be burned.
During her imprisonment, Ophelia was visited by a priest from the church. He told her he could free her, save her from the stake, but in turn she would have to promise him loyalty. Spurned by her family, who were great contributors to the Church, Ophelia was left alone. Thus, she agreed. However, upon her release, the man launched himself at her, and thus her nights as one of the undead began. Even then, corruption hung within the Catholic church.
Fleeing shortly after this, Ophelia spent her days hopping from town to town, trying to make sense of her new world. Her only solace was her music, and the violin she had procured from a kind homeless man before his inevitable death.
Her experiences through the Dead City have brought her in an out like a thread between the families of Ordeas and Night. After her deep slumber, a time when many thought her dead, Ophelia chose to stay rogue for a while before returning to Stormhaven. It was time that she faced those she had left, in the hopes that all would be forgiven.
However, her home was not as she had remembered. With Dark and Paradox gone and the remaining nobility corrupt and vile, Ophelia saw nothing but disgust in the place she had once called home, and thus fled once more without word.
For a long time, Ophelia drifted in darkness. With the loss of her family of Night, and most importantly her mother, Dark, she felt that she had no place to truly belong. It was not until she was employed by Aleyia Darkshadow (and later bestowed with the title of Head Diviner) that she found purpose once again, for she had been reunited with her former Night aunt, Ivy. Ivy welcomed Ophelia with open arms, and thus she became a member of the Pascal family.
However...a hole still ran deep through Ophelia`s a heart. A hole she knew only one person could fill. Through trials and tribulations she fought, and for over a year she struggled...until finally, she and her mother were reunited once more, and thus she became a member of the Night family yet again.
